After graduating from Fordham University, Dr. Markey received his M.D. at Yale, followed by a surgical internship at the Massachusetts General Hospital, after which he served three years as a Navy doctor. After finishing Naval service with the rank of Lieutenant Commander, Dr. Markey completed his orthopedic residency at Harvard, followed by a teaching fellowship at the Lahey clinic, and joined this practice in 1977.
Dr. Markey is past president of the Norwalk Medical Society, and a past member of the Board of Trustees of Norwalk Hospital. He is the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award of the Department of Surgery of Norwalk Hospital.
Dr. Markey is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and has extensive experience in all areas of Orthopaedic Surgery.
